About the space
Tipping Point is a shop with a difference as it sells nothing. It’s a walk-in info-shop, an art gallery, a meeting place, a campaigning hub, a library, a swap shop and internet cafe. We here and promote ways in which people can actively tackle climate change, both individually and collectively.

Monday 10am – 12am & 3pm-6pm
Tuesday 3pm – 6pm
Wednesday (9am for parents coffee morning*) & 12 – 2pm
Thursday – CLOSED*
Friday 10am – 12 & 3pm till 6pm
Saturday 10am – 12 & 3pm till 6pm
Sunday – CLOSED*
* We are open at other times for events and workshops.

That’s the western end of the high street, away from the station and close to the library.
If you are coming from the station we are just a five minute walk down the high street. You pass McDonald’s and onto the pedestrianized high street and keep going, passing over Canterbury Road and continuing on the pedestrianized high street . We’re pretty much opposite Peacocks and next to Bikes Bikes Bikes.
Those arriving by vehicle, parking is problematic during the day but in the evening you can park either behind the shop or drop stuff off from the front. There is free parking nearby, just ask us where.
